About Kathleen-Dressage Biography

Kathleen has been giving dressage lessons and training for the past 14 years.  She loves to work with students of all levels and all breeds of horses.  She has taught riders from their first time on a horse to Prix St. Georges. Kathleen’s love of horses and of dressage has drawn her to work with all disciplines to promote a solid foundation of horsemanship.  She has worked with event riders, western riders, and helped teach 4-H and Pony Club.

In 2000, Kathleen traveled to Holland and worked with Alex van Silfhout.  Alex is a well-known Dutch Grand Prix dressage rider, trainer and international competitor. She has enjoyed riding in clinics with Kathleen Raine, Steffan Peters and Jan Ebling.  She enjoys learning and working with Debbie Riehl-Rodriquez, an “S” judge.  Debbie is a national clinician and great teacher.

While showing her own horses and her clients’ horses from Training Level to Intermediare 1, Kathleen has won both USDF Regional and Rocky Mountain Dressage Society (RMDS) Championships. She has earned her USDF bronze and silver medals.

Kathleen grew up in Loveland, CO and currently lives with her husband, five dogs and four horses in Johnstown, CO.  Click on these links to learn about Kathleen’s writingphotography, and co-ownership in Sherlock Hounds Detection Canines.
